Jessie J

The song linked to the title is "Price Tag" by Jessie J ft. B.o.B. She is 22 years old and is British. Her real name is Jessica Cornish, her stage name is Jessie J. She was claimed as one of this year's breakout artists. Her first published song is "Do it Like a Dude". These two songs demonstrate how her talent varies so greatly. Many people try to compare her to Lady Gaga because of "Do it Like a Dude", but her talent stretches even farther. She has amazing vocals and can change her style on the fly. Listen to "Do it Like a Dude", then listen to another song she sang, "Mamma Knows Best". "Mamma Knows Best" is one of her own videos that she made, not published. You can see her talent show through in both songs. She is definitely going to be one of this year's biggest hits. She is signed to Island Record in the UK, and Universal Republic in America. Another incredible song she has is "Rainbow". She wrote the song while visiting in L.A. She is singing over her prerecorded song that she did in the studio, not miming it. She talks about the meaning of the song and what inspired her to write it in the beginning of this video. The song starts at 2:22. I can't wait for her to publish more songs! Enjoy!

F**kin' Perfect- P!nk

Still on fire from "Raise Your Glass", P!nk makes yet another hit. Already reaching the top on many radio stations and charts, "F**kin' Perfect" just shows you how talented P!nk really is.
*warning* Music video may be disturbing to some.*warning*

What the Hell- Avril Lavigne

"What the Hell" by Avril Lavigne is yet another great song that she has made. This one is her newest song and I can predict that this will be heading for the top of the charts very quickly. The song is extremely catchy and will spread like wildfire and get stuck into your head. Like many of her songs ("Girlfriend", "Hot", "The Best Damn Thing", "When Your Gone", etc.) this song will be a hit.

Genuine Only- Ne-Yo

This is another nice song by Ne-Yo. It is one of his newer ones, I don't think it's his best work, but it is still very good!

Body Language- Jesse McCartney Ft. T-Pain

Nice song by Jesse McCartney. It is very catchy and will get stuck in your head!

Down On Me- Jeremih Ft. 50 Cent

Not one of my favorite songs, but I would keep an eye on this song. I can see that "Down On Me" will quickly rise up on the song list for many rap followers. Maybe in a little while, but this song will eventually start to hit the top on many radio stations that focus on playing rap songs. Take a few minutes to listen and comment on what you think will happen to this song.

Say Goodbye- Chris Brown

This is a nice song by Chris Brown. He had a tough time recently, so this is one of his older songs--it is a few years old. So this is one of my quick song picks. Enjoy! :) Make sure to comment on the songs!

Savin' Me- Nickelback

Another very well done song by Nickelback. Make sure you listen and enjoy the songs. Despite lots of criticism about many of their songs, I found that most of their songs were very good. They may need to stay away from some genres, but they still did a great job with their songs, no matter what style it was.

Far Away- Nickelback

Nickelback did a great job with this song. The song has a mix of Nickelback's strengths of incorporating different styles of music into a song. The music video for this song matches the lyrics very well, too. I think Nickelback doesn't get the credit they deserve. One of their big songs was "Rockstar", which I believe is the main reason this great band receives a lot of criticism. "Rockstar" was still well done, but the voice was very scratchy. The tune was very catchy, but it still had a few weaknesses.

Nickelback

The song that is linked to the title is "Someday" by Nickelback. Many people I have talked to and some other music sites really dislike this band. The reasons they had for disliking the band weren't very convincing, so I went and listened to a bunch of Nickelback songs. I'll have a few posts about the songs that I thought were decent. Tell me what you think of the songs, and what you think of the band. Quick fact, they are a Canadian rock band (also debated as an alternative rock band)  that have tried many different genres including country and pop. Yeah Canada!

Hold It Against Me- Britney Spears

This isn't a music video or a video posted by vevo for once. This is a user video by SuperKherlen. This is Britney's newest release. The lyrics of this song are more like the lyrics that she was singing when she was first catching on. The instrumental parts are more pop and techno, unlike what she would have had if it was suppose to be like her first few songs. This is like the reincarnation of the old Britney. Tell me what you think of it, and I'll try to keep you posted on other the new songs!

Never Too Late- Three Days Grace

I wasn't really into alternative rock until I listened to this band. "Never Too Late" by Three Days Grace really pulled me into listening to some of this genre. This is my favorite alternative rock band out of all of the ones I have heard because their songs tend to be a little softer then most other bands. I liked the drumming in this song because you can actually hear the drums; unlike many rock songs, you can hear all of the instruments. The guitar doesn't overpower the song, so it sounds more like a song, and not just a guitar solo. This song is one of the band's easier songs; many of their others are closer to a hard rock song. I will have more posts about this band later on with comment on their songs.

"Just The Way You Are" by Bruno Mars was one of my favorite songs ever, so that is why it made my list of quick songs to listen to! I hope you like it, I know I loved it. Just take a few minutes to listen, enjoy, then come back here and comment if you liked it, too.

Some may surprise you! :) A song to start you off is an older song by Black Eyed Peas, "Where is the Love". I really like this song and hope Black Eyed Peas will go back to making song like this one. Enjoy!

My Favorite Song

I have included the link to my favorite song, "Hold My Hand" by Micheal Jackson duet with Akon. All you have to do is click the title of this post and it will bring you to the song. I thought it was very touching and beautifully sung. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!

The Start

As I said in my other blog, I will be creating a new blog once the new year starts, and from the survey, I have a winning name. I will try my best to get a big variety of music onto my blog, and if you have a suggestion, make sure to comment. Many of my favorite songs are not new, so not all of the songs that are posted will be new either. I will try to post links to all of the songs that I post about, so you can hear them too.
