Miss Me- Andy Grammer

If you haven't heard this song before, you need to. I really like Andy Grammer because he is able to blend topics like break ups and love into a song that stays upbeat, unlike many love songs that are slow and very dramatic. Even though his music is more upbeat, it still conveys the same pain that a slower love sick song has and moves you in a different way. The faster speed helps the song make you feel like you aren't dwelling on the past, moving forward instead. The meaning behind his music video is also very clever, showing that once someone's heart has been broken, their light can shine fully, and as many, they are strong enough to move on. I hope you enjoy this song!

Die Young- Ke$ha

I am addicted to this song. I really liked how it was a mix of party as well as singing, unlike many other party songs which are mainly chanting and too much techno, over powering the true music. The song is very catching like many other popular songs, but I believe Ke$ha has a lot of talent and this song exemplifies some of her strengths. Unlike Call Me Maybe, another very catchy song that helped exemplify Carly Rae Jepsen's talents, this song is geared to the older teenager+, while Call Me Maybe seemed to be a teeny bopper song. I hope you enjoy, and I'm sure you'll be hearing it more and more often on the radios! BTW the link attached is the lyric video, I'll be on the look out for the music video!

We Play For Keeps- B.o.B (Music Video+ Lyrics)

(uh) How much must I repeat?
We only play for keeps
No time-outs, no free throws
No refs, no penalties
No handouts, no pit stops
No cheat codes, no sleep
But the drinks are on us
If you with it then pull up a seat

When you're roaming through the jungle
Talk is nothing, talk is cheap
Time is money, money is power
Power corrupts eventually, damn
So what are the options?
What are the choices left for me?
What other rule there's left to break
I guess my faith is a quest for me
Man got a dog and ain't got no leash
Man got a crib, it ain't got no lease
Man got a flow that got no brain
But I still get brain, no hands, no teeth
Nowadays, niggas the killas on the beat
But where I was raised all of the killas was down the street
Better do your research
Feeling like I fell out of the sky and landed feet first
My squad go hard, my squad go concrete, watch my team work
Hell yea, you can tell that, the boy fend to it cause I took my seat first
3 course meal, full entrée, refills and I want my dessert
So why not make a toast? Tomorrow could always be worst
Now keep them bottles coming by the kiloliter
And get that Ana off your chest, try to keep a clean shirt
I'm so grand hustle, you ain't even in my league sir
What's up with these nerds?
They be out here, gettin' their salad's tossed, gettin' their leaves turned
The game just ain't what it used to be, the quality is blurred
But a dying breed survived and a dynasty emerged
So put it in the air if you entirely concur
She call me hippie cause I live without any concern
Up on this green earth, I'm on them green herbs
Yea yea yea, I stay in them trees like the keblers, ha
And they say that I look higher in person
As a kid I played in the yard, but now I'm astro turfing
I lived the actual version of the fantasies they utter
Made up stories of threesomes, they must just be seeing double
Run for cover, here comes trouble
My heart is growing cold so I gotta sleep with warmer covers
Polar bear pimpin', solar flare spittin'
Somebody tell 'em that this is professional stuntin' and don't attempt it
Society is twisted, they tryna take us under
So when you see them folks, don't forget to warn a brother
I made it out alive but still the battle is a struggle
Veni, vidi, vici, I came, I saw, I conquered
They mad cause I murdered the game
And their name wasn't in the will
You see, most of these haters are mad rappers who's just still waiting on a deal
And they jealous of my success cause my shoes cost more than their bill
But I'll never sit down at another table unless I'm invited to the meal
To some it's like conquering mountains, to me it's like stepping on hills
Remember the images in your mirror can be bigger than they appear
And the truth can be hard to swallow, depending the size of the pill
And by the looks it's about the time that you had your prescription filled
My life, full-length feature presentation
There are no intermissions, no time for commercial breaking
A fighter in his prime, a legend in the making
There's no debating when you let your numbers make the statement

How much must I repeat?
We only play for keeps
No time-outs, no free throws
No refs, no penalties
No handouts, no pit stops
No cheat codes, no sleep
But the drinks are on us
If you with it then pull up a seat

One More Night- Maroon 5

I love this song because of the catchy rhythm and catchy lyrics. I find that this is a really fun song that really doesn't have too much meaning behind it, but makes you want to just dance because the song is so upbeat and happy. Though it is repetitive, it's a sound that is common to Maroon 5 that separates them from any other band. I hope you enjoy, One More Night by Maroon 5!

Summer Paradise- Simple Plan ft. Sean Paul

Summer Paradise is an upbeat fun song that is great for the summer time. It has a catchy tune to it and it's just a feel good song. This is a love song, but it took a new approach. Rather than a simple and slow really heartfelt song, Simple Plan made a song that is perfect for the summer season with it's upbeat tune and it is bound to become a summer hit. Enjoy!

Bombs Away- B.o.B Ft. Morgan Freeman

This song is really cool and is very catchy. The beat is really aggressive and the song is a great pump up song. Morgan Freeman's voice adds a feeling of mystery and intimidation while B.o.B runs with it and makes it sound even cooler. The combination in this work is a great partnership and the song builds off of each part. Morgan Freeman's part sounds like it's just speaking, but in reality, it is a like he is reciting a ballad that is cleverly crafted to have a very dramatic affect.

Is Anybody Out There- K'NAAN ft. Nelly Furtado

This song is such a good song. K'NAAN raps and sings about such a deep problem. He doesn't criticize anyone or disses anyone, but can get a very powerful message across. Nelly Furtado is a perfect accompaniment to K'NAAN in this song. The song sounds really good and is completely clean of profane language which nearly no other rapper does. The song has so much meaning behind it, I hope he continues to have songs similar to this. K'NAAN is going to take off, and I hope that he doesn't start to go very mainstream with his music and keeps it as meaningful as this song. I hope you enjoy! I'll have lyrics soon!

So Good- B.o.B

Get on the bus early with this song and video! Here it is, ENJOY! I also found a great song about B.o.B trying to figure out his real style. He is trying to go back to his original raps. For a little while, B.o.B went very mainstream. This song talks about how he realized what was happening and how he is trying to change and get back to how he used to write his raps and rapping. Where Are You

So Good- B.o.B

I really liked this song because it has a really catchy tune and sounds really nice. It's a song that rap fans and non-rap fans can both enjoy because it's an upbeat song that isn't explicit. B.o.B raps in rhymes and has really good rhythm when he raps. His raps make sense and aren't all about getting drunk and having sex. The music video is released Wednesday, March 21, I'll have it up soon!

Call Me Maybe- Rae Jepsen

This isn't the official music video, but I think this video is more fun than the original. The song is really upbeat and pretty catchy. The video features a ton of different famous stars, and actually has more views than the original! I hope you enjoy the song and video!

Fight For You- Jason Derulo

This is one of Jason Derulo's newer songs that are on his new album Future History. It's a remake of Toto's Africa which then was redid by Karl Wolf, Africa. This link is not the music video, but it's a lyric video, not one that just shows the lyrics to the song. The video is really well done. I think Jason has really modernized this piece and I think Jason does the best job. They are not exactly the same, but Fight For You's chorus is the same as both of the other Africas. All of the versions are very nice, take a look! I hope you enjoy!

Better Than I Know Myself- Adam Lambert

After having a drought of popular songs, Adam Lambert is back with this song, Better Than I Know Myself. Adam has a lot of talent, and he is able to make his "comeback" into the center stage with this song. This is one that will definitely bring him back into the pop culture world. I hope you enjoy, and tell me what you think!

The One That Got Away- Katy Perry (Music Video+ Lyrics)

Summer after high school when we first met
We make out in you mustang to radio head
And on my 18th birthday we bought matching tattoos
Used to steal your parent's liquor and climb to the roof
Talk about our future, like we had a clue
Never planned that one day I'd be losing you
In another life, I would be your girl
We keep all our promises be us against the world
In another life I would make you stay
So I don't have to say you were the one that got away
The one that got away.

I was June you were my Johnny Cash
Never one without the other we made a pact
Sometimes when I miss you I put those records on...whooa
Someone said you had your tattoo removed
Saw you down town singin the blues
It's time to face the music I'm no longer your muse
But in another life I would be your girl
We keep all our promises be us against the world
In another life I would make you stay
So I don't have to say you were the one that got away
The one that got away.

The one, the one, the one
The one that got away.

All his money can't buy me a time machine, no
Can't replace you with a million rings, no
I shoulda told you what you meant to me, whooa
Cause now I pay the price.

In another life I would be your girl
We keep all our promises be us against the world
In another life I would make you stay
So I don't have to say you were the one that got away
The one that got away.

The one, the one, the one

In another life I would make you stay
So I don't have to say you were the one that got away
The one that got away
