Miss Me- Andy Grammer
If you haven't heard this song before, you need to. I really like Andy Grammer because he is able to blend topics like break ups and love into a song that stays upbeat, unlike many love songs that are slow and very dramatic. Even though his music is more upbeat, it still conveys the same pain that a slower love sick song has and moves you in a different way. The faster speed helps the song make you feel like you aren't dwelling on the past, moving forward instead. The meaning behind his music video is also very clever, showing that once someone's heart has been broken, their light can shine fully, and as many, they are strong enough to move on. I hope you enjoy this song!

Die Young- Ke$ha
I am addicted to this song. I really liked how it was a mix of party as well as singing, unlike many other party songs which are mainly chanting and too much techno, over powering the true music. The song is very catching like many other popular songs, but I believe Ke$ha has a lot of talent and this song exemplifies some of her strengths. Unlike Call Me Maybe, another very catchy song that helped exemplify Carly Rae Jepsen's talents, this song is geared to the older teenager+, while Call Me Maybe seemed to be a teeny bopper song. I hope you enjoy, and I'm sure you'll be hearing it more and more often on the radios! BTW the link attached is the lyric video, I'll be on the look out for the music video!

Summer Paradise- Simple Plan ft. Sean Paul
Summer Paradise is an upbeat fun song that is great for the summer time. It has a catchy tune to it and it's just a feel good song. This is a love song, but it took a new approach. Rather than a simple and slow really heartfelt song, Simple Plan made a song that is perfect for the summer season with it's upbeat tune and it is bound to become a summer hit. Enjoy!

Is Anybody Out There- K'NAAN ft. Nelly Furtado
This song is such a good song. K'NAAN raps and sings about such a deep problem. He doesn't criticize anyone or disses anyone, but can get a very powerful message across. Nelly Furtado is a perfect accompaniment to K'NAAN in this song. The song sounds really good and is completely clean of profane language which nearly no other rapper does. The song has so much meaning behind it, I hope he continues to have songs similar to this. K'NAAN is going to take off, and I hope that he doesn't start to go very mainstream with his music and keeps it as meaningful as this song. I hope you enjoy! I'll have lyrics soon!

So Good- B.o.B
I really liked this song because it has a really catchy tune and sounds really nice. It's a song that rap fans and non-rap fans can both enjoy because it's an upbeat song that isn't explicit. B.o.B raps in rhymes and has really good rhythm when he raps. His raps make sense and aren't all about getting drunk and having sex. The music video is released Wednesday, March 21, I'll have it up soon!

Call Me Maybe- Rae Jepsen
This isn't the official music video, but I think this video is more fun than the original. The song is really upbeat and pretty catchy. The video features a ton of different famous stars, and actually has more views than the original! I hope you enjoy the song and video!

Invisible- Skylar Grey
The music video for this song was just posted yesterday. Unlike a lot of the other songs, it doesn't have as many hits, but she has a really amazing voice and message. This song is really meaningful and a lot people could relate to this at least once in there life. Skylar Grey has been featured in many recent songs including I Need A Doctor- By Dr. Dre ft Eminem and Skylar Grey. The lyrics talk about how a person does so many things to try to get people to like her and be her friend, but she always feels like that no one notices her. Skylar has an incredible voice and is using it to get a story out about the people that are hidden by others actions. I hope you enjoy this amazing song, Invisible- Skylar Grey.

Stereo Hearts- Gym Class Heroes ft. Adam Levine
I love this song! It's not really new, but it is still not as popular or old as many other songs that are this good. With Adam Levine, this song mixes light rap with great singing. Enjoy this great song by Gym Class Heroes- Stereo Hearts!

Under Recognized Artists and Bands
I just wanted to do a post about the great artists that only smaller groups of followers listen to and are under recognized. The first is a band that isn't popular in the US, but is one of the hottest bands in Canada, Down With Webster. I wouldn't have found this band if it wasn't for some of my friends that came down from Canada recently. It only took a few seconds before I was hooked on this band. Here is one of their most listened to song. Whoa is Me As you can see, they don't have nearly as many hits as some of the more mainstream US singers, but they are a really good group. They blend pop, rap, and rock. They do an incredible job with blending the different genres together. Here are a few more of their songs,
Your Man
She's Dope
Hope you like them!
The second artist is Gavin DeGraw. He makes some really nice music that many people already enjoy listening to. The amount of people that listen to his music is normally only the people that have been listening to his music for a while now, not many new people are introduced to his music. I think that this song, Not Over You, is a very good indicator of his talent. Listen and enjoy!
Spread the word!

My Moment- Rebecca Black
Ok, so... After making the WORST song and music video Friday, Rebecca Black has come out with a much better song. I don't think this is good, I just think it's much better than her last song. I think that if we forget she ever made the song Friday, we might actually get some decent songs in our future from Rebecca Black. I'm not saying she will be a big hit, just not the same singer we saw in Friday. Just remember, she has over 10 million views in just 3 days. Could you do that? Even if they are there to just laugh, she is getting much more publicity than many of us. Listen to this new song, My Moment by Rebecca Black and tell me what you think.

Fast Lane- Bad Meets Evil
This song is sick. Royce Da 5'9 plus Eminem equals an amazing song. The rap is really catchy and all of the parts are done perfectly. Listen to it one time and any only partial fan of rap will like it. Any big rap fans will like this as soon as they hear it, as well.

Rescue Me- You Me At Six & Chiddy
Rescue Me by You Me At Six & Chiddy, is a really nice song that sounds incredible. You Me At Six was a band that had a smaller fan group then many of the bands that you hear about, but with this song that they did with Chiddy, has made them a topic to talk about. I didn't even know about this band until I heard this song. Listen for yourself and comment on what you thought!

My Girl- Mindless Behavior
Alright, this group has been around for a little while, but I just found them. The group is Mindless Behavior. Made up of Prodigy, Princeton, Ray Ray, and Roc Royal. They are a group of R&B singers mixing in rap. Their first song, My Girl, is very catchy and will bring this newer group very far just with the one song. They have good voices and they can dance very well, even though they are only 13 and 14 years old! This song talks a lot about what they know well, texting. There are a lot of texting phrases and symbols. Take a look, then check out their remix! My Girl- Remix

Lupe Fiasco
He is great rapper who can blend almost all the genres together. He has an amazing talent of bringing the types of genres together to make a song that means something to everyone. In the song, The Show Goes On, the one linked to the title, is a rap about how maybe African Americans were once slaves, but it's time to move on. You can't let that hold up your show just because of one thing in the past. He talks about how even the ghetto kids have the same chances as long as they keep going. If you start to do drugs and crimes, your show has stopped. He raps about how he was that kid who was in the ghetto looking for a way out. He never gave up, and now he is rapping about why you shouldn't. Some examples of his song blending skills are: Solar Midnight (Rock and Rap), Paris, Tokyo (Rap and R&B), Hip Hop Saved My Life (Hip Hop and Rap). In all of his raps, he sort of uses hip hop and R&B, just more so in some then others. One rap that everyone should listen to is I'm Beamin. He talks about how it doesn't matter if you are a nerd or a gangster, we all should be intelligent and do right things. I will post the lyrics to the song in a later post so you can read what he wants us all to know.

Rainbow- Jessie J
Sorry, my last link's video is blocked because of it's copyrights to the song, so now we have to use a different video. Here is another video that has the song in good sound quality. Keep enjoying!
Cupid- Lloyd
I found this song by Lloyd just by chance. I listened to it, and was amazed at how nice this song is. Cupid by Lloyd is a great song that is hard to criticize, even if you don't enjoy this type of genre. I particularly like the mixture of R&B, Pop, and the slight use of techno. I think it sounds great and I will get the music video up for you as soon as I can!

Better Believe it- Sam Leon
I think this was a very nice song. There is lots of criticism that this is a copy of Eminem's "Not Afraid". My opinion is that Sam Leon has talent and needs to try some more. If he can get a song that isn't such a close match to a different song, he could be a pretty big hit. I am assuming that he got some of his inspiration to this song from Eminem, but that just shows how great of a rapper Eminem is to inspire others to try and be like him. The scenery from both are closely matched because of the theme of where they are filmed. Take a look at both songs and comment on what you think.

Written In The Stars- Tinie Tempah
This is a really nice song that really introduces Tinie Tempah to the world. I really like the meaning behind the song, but I think that some parts of the song might have been better if there wasn't rapping in it. If there was a very talented singer who could sing more parts of the song instead of rap it, I think it may be even better. The rapping was very well done and was executed nicely in the song. Tinie Tempah will really shine with this song and he is bound to be on his way to "the stars". The song is bound to fly up the charts as soon as it becomes a little more well known. There is no doubt that he has the talent, I am just looking to see if he can make another song that is like this one to back it up. He already has other songs, but I think this is his best so far by a long shot.

Jessie J
The song linked to the title is "Price Tag" by Jessie J ft. B.o.B. She is 22 years old and is British. Her real name is Jessica Cornish, her stage name is Jessie J. She was claimed as one of this year's breakout artists. Her first published song is "Do it Like a Dude". These two songs demonstrate how her talent varies so greatly. Many people try to compare her to Lady Gaga because of "Do it Like a Dude", but her talent stretches even farther. She has amazing vocals and can change her style on the fly. Listen to "Do it Like a Dude", then listen to another song she sang, "Mamma Knows Best". "Mamma Knows Best" is one of her own videos that she made, not published. You can see her talent show through in both songs. She is definitely going to be one of this year's biggest hits. She is signed to Island Record in the UK, and Universal Republic in America. Another incredible song she has is "Rainbow". She wrote the song while visiting in L.A. She is singing over her prerecorded song that she did in the studio, not miming it. She talks about the meaning of the song and what inspired her to write it in the beginning of this video. The song starts at 2:22. I can't wait for her to publish more songs! Enjoy!
