E.T.- Katy Perry Ft. Kanye West

Here is the much awaited and talked about music video for E.T. by Katy Perry ft. Kanye West. The music video has left me speechless on what to say about it. I really like the song, but I thought the music video was extremely strange.

Rescue Me- You Me At Six & Chiddy

Rescue Me by You Me At Six & Chiddy, is a really nice song that sounds incredible. You Me At Six was a band that had a smaller fan group then many of the bands that you hear about, but with this song that they did with Chiddy, has made them a topic to talk about. I didn't even know about this band until I heard this song. Listen for yourself and comment on what you thought!

The Show Goes On- Lupe Fiasco (Lyrics+ Music Video)

LA-SER

Ya
Ya
K, haters in the building now
Ya

Alright, already the show goes on
All night, till the morning we dream so long
Anybody ever wonder, when they would see the sun up
Just remember when you come up
The show goes on!
Alright, already the show goes on
All night, till the morning we dream so long
Anybody ever wonder, when they would see the sun up
Just remember when you come up
The show goes on!

Have you ever had the feeling that you was being had
Don't that s__ make you mad
They treat you like a slave, with chains all on your soul,
And put whips up on your back,
They be lying through they teeth
Hope you slip up off your path
I don't switch up I just laugh
Put my kicks up on they desk
Unaffected by they threats than get busy on they a__
See that's how that Chi-Town made me
That's how my daddy raised me
That glittering may not be gold, don't let no body play me
If you are my homeboy, you never have to pay me
Go on and put your hands up, when times are hard you stand up
L-U-P the man, cause a brand that the fans trust
So even if they ban us they'll never slow my plans up!

Alright, already the show goes on
All night, till the morning we dream so long
Anybody ever wonder, when they would see the sun up
Just remember when you come up
The show goes on!
Alright, already the show goes on
All night, till the morning we dream so long
Anybody ever wonder, when they would see the sun up
Just remember when you come up
The show goes on!

One in the air for the people that ain't here
Two in the air for the father that's there
Three in the air for the kids in the ghetto
Four for the kids who don't wanna be there
None for the n_____ trying to hold them back
Five in the air for the teacher not scared to tell those kids that's living in the ghetto that the n_____ holdin' back that the World is theirs!
Yeah yeah, the World is yours, I was once that little boy
Terrified of the World
Now I'm on a World tour
I will give up everything, even start a world war
For these ghettos girls and boys im rapping round' the World for!
Africa to New York, Haiti then I detour, Oakland out to Auckland
Gaza Strip to Detroit, say hip-hop only destroy
Tell em' look at me, boy!
I hope your son don't have a gun and that would be a D-boy

Alright, already the show goes on
All night, till the morning we dream so long
Anybody ever wonder, when they would see the sun up
Just remember when you come up
The show goes on!
Alright, already the show goes on
All night, till the morning we dream so long
Anybody ever wonder, when they would see the sun up
Just remember when you come up
The show goes on!

So no matter what you been through
No matter what you into
No matter what you see when you look outside your window
Brown grass or green grass
Picket fence or barbed wire
Never ever put them down
You just lift your arms higher
Raise em till' your arms tired
Let em' know you're there
That you struggling and survivin' that you gonna persevere
Yeah, ain't no body leavin', no body goin' home
Even if they turn the lights out the show is goin' on!

Alright, already the show goes on
All night, till the morning we dream so long
Anybody ever wonder, when they would see the sun up
Just remember when you come up
The show goes on!
Alright, already the show goes on
All night, till the morning we dream so long
Anybody ever wonder, when they would see the sun up
Just remember when you come up
The show goes on!

My Girl- Mindless Behavior

Alright, this group has been around for a little while, but I just found them. The group is Mindless Behavior. Made up of Prodigy, Princeton, Ray Ray, and Roc Royal. They are a group of R&B singers mixing in rap. Their first song, My Girl, is very catchy and will bring this newer group very far just with the one song. They have good voices and they can dance very well, even though they are only 13 and 14 years old! This song talks a lot about what they know well, texting. There are a lot of texting phrases and symbols. Take a look, then check out their remix! My Girl- Remix

I'm Beamin- Lupe Fiasco (Lyrics + Music Video)

Today, nobody cares
But tomorrow they will, they will
Today, nobody cares
But, oh, tomorrow they will, they will(x2)

They said my future was dark
You see me now?
Just look around
I'm beamin'

(We are) They used to talk
When I wasn't around (Lasers)
You see me now (Were not)
(Losers) I'm beamin'

I get my energy from my inner G
I be in outer space, but I got inner peace
So tell my enemies that they can't injure me
I know that irritates, you have my sympathies
Well, you should protest, yeah, you should picket me
I'm on a losing strike, I'm on a winning streak
I'm out in left field, I'm speaking mentally
But that's a better places, than where the b__ be
I'm feelin' really good, me and different beat
Me and my different drummer, he play the timpani
See, thats what got me here, you hearin me
Me on my black man in the future s__, call me Billy Dee
See, Im just forward-looking, thats how I really see
See, while you Valentines, I'm thinking Christmas trees
And that's how this would be, even at Mickey D's
Semicolon, close parentheses

They said my future was dark
You see me now?
Just look around
I'm beamin
They used to talk
When I wasnt around
You see me now
Im beamin'

Do you remember me, the guy from verse one?
Failure's my last name, Never's my first one
You see I hood a lot, and yeah I nerd some
Hoods where the heart is, nerds where the words from
Don't represent either, because I merged them
it's kids who wanna leave, and I encourage them
Go out and see the world, never return from
Yeah, you dont come back, unless you learn some
And baby girl what does it matter where your purse from?
Your hair done, your nails did, your a__ fat, but youre dumb
Mix Melyssa Ford with Maya Angelou
Become a top model and Sojourner too
I try to follow this, what Muhammad do
It's such a old soul inside the sonic youth
Swear I'm Ferraried up, and I'm conscious, too
I don't prophesize: I promise you

They said my future was dark
You see me now?
Just look around
I'm beamin
They used to talk
When I wasnt around (Lasers)
You see me now (Ha)
I'm beamin

Yeah, it's me again, the guy from verse two
Well, this the last one, its almost curfew
It's almost night out, so turn your lights on
Where all my 760s, witcha brights on?
Yeah, they are the ones, to keep your eyes on
Like how we used to do, to keep the house warm
Now those the type of eyes, I not cry from
You see the tears of fire, run out my cryin' songs
Now the world's shoulders, is what we cryin' on
The worlds fast lane, is what I'm drivin' on
What am I driving at? I'm tryina drive it home
I'm in the drivers seat, but you can ride along
'Cause never cyclops, it's never I alone
I'm tellin' your story, wherever I perform
Now if they lookin' for me, tell em I've gone
Out in the bright lights, right where I belong

They said my future was dark
You see me now?
Just look around
I'm beamin

They used to talk
When I weren't around
You see me now
I'm beamin

Lupe Fiasco

He is great rapper who can blend almost all the genres together. He has an amazing talent of bringing the types of genres together to make a song that means something to everyone. In the song, The Show Goes On, the one linked to the title, is a rap about how maybe African Americans were once slaves, but it's time to move on. You can't let that hold up your show just because of one thing in the past. He talks about how even the ghetto kids have the same chances as long as they keep going. If you start to do drugs and crimes, your show has stopped. He raps about how he was that kid who was in the ghetto looking for a way out. He never gave up, and now he is rapping about why you shouldn't. Some examples of his song blending skills are: Solar Midnight (Rock and Rap), Paris, Tokyo (Rap and R&B), Hip Hop Saved My Life (Hip Hop and Rap). In all of his raps, he sort of uses hip hop and R&B, just more so in some then others. One rap that everyone should listen to is I'm Beamin. He talks about how it doesn't matter if you are a nerd or a gangster, we all should be intelligent and do right things. I will post the lyrics to the song in a later post so you can read what he wants us all to know.

Words I Never Said- Lupe Fiasco

This is a half fan based half real music video for his song, Words I Never Said. If you really listen to what he says, he is challenging a lot of the challenges and problems we had and what the real causes of them are. Take a moment to really listen to the lyrics and what he is trying to tell us.

If I Was You (OMG)- Far East Movement ft. Snoop Dogg

If I Was You (OMG) by Far East Movement ft. Snoop Dogg is their newest song that has been released. It is really short, but the song still sounds pretty awesome! The song follows their regular song patterns on how the lyrics are put together. The song speeds up at the end, but just stops abruptly. Check it out and I will post the Music Video as soon as I can!

Cupid- Lloyd

Here it is! The Music Video for Cupid by Lloyd! Enjoy!

Telling The World- Taio Cruz

This song is so nice! Taio Cruz isn't only making a mindless, monotonous song like Dirty Picture! This song is so much nicer. Do you remember how we all met Taio Cruz? He was that singer that made those nice songs that you really enjoy listening to. You can just feel the emotions in this song as you listen. He does such a great job to make it so that it isn't completely different from recognizable, but he does a superb job making it so that he isn't just appealing to the midnight clubs. I really like this song and hope you do too!

Rainbow- Jessie J

Sorry, my last link's video is blocked because of it's copyrights to the song, so now we have to use a different video. Here is another video that has the song in good sound quality. Keep enjoying!

Cupid- Lloyd

I found this song by Lloyd just by chance. I listened to it, and was amazed at how nice this song is. Cupid by Lloyd is a great song that is hard to criticize, even if you don't enjoy this type of genre. I particularly like the mixture of R&B, Pop, and the slight use of techno. I think it sounds great and I will get the music video up for you as soon as I can!

Hit the Lights- Jay Sean ft. Lil Wayne

This song is not as meaningful as some of his other songs. Hit the Lights is one of the club songs, not one that you end up singing any day like Down was. This song is pretty catchy and will definitely become more popular with some time, but I still like Down better. This song has a lot of techno worked into it and Lil Wayne's rap was not very good at all. Tell me what you think, and watch for this song to hit the radio stations' top songs.

The Worst Song Ever?

Wow... This song has to be the WORST song that I have ever heard. She has the most nasally voice ever and the lyrics are just plain dumb. What song is this? Friday by Rebecca Black. Her song is very lame and is a joke. I think the only reason she has that many views for this song is because people are going to see it just so they can make fun of it later. Was this really a song someone expected to have good reviews about? Tell me your thoughts.

The Part 2s

I have two songs that have a great remake of them. The first song is Airplanes by B.o.B ft. Hayley Williams. The remake of it, or part 2, is Airplanes (recovery) by B.o.B Ft. Hayley Williams & Eminem. The part 2 version is really good. They do a great job with both new raps. I really like Eminem's part, which starts at 3:04. B.o.B. also does an incredible job. The second song that has a really nice part 2 is Love the Way You Lie by Eminem ft. Rihanna. The part 2 is Love the Way you lie by Rihanna ft. Eminem. The lyrics are included for this song. The rap is different from the original, and Rihanna does a lot more singing then her 3 or 4 lines when she was featured in Eminem's version. Listen and see which one you like more!

Music Video Ads

Just to put all the music videos that are in the poll for best ad music video, I am going to put them all in one place so that it is easier to get to all of the songs quickly. Make sure you vote for your favorite!

What the Hell- Avril Lavigne

Hold it Against Me- Britney Spears

I Need a Doctor- Dr. Dre and Eminem

Just Can't Get Enough- Black Eyed Peas

Following their disappointing Super Bowl half time show, Black Eyed Peas come out with one more song. This song follows their current music trend, which is lots of techno. I know this song will hit the top of the charts pretty quickly, but I still would like to see them go back to songs like Where is the Love. Where is the Love was one of their songs that really had a lot of meaning behind them, not like the ones now where you can't really think, oh that was very meaningful. Their songs have become more and more plain and not as unique as they once were. Listen. Comment. Enjoy!

Rainbow- Jessie J

Finally! Her song is finally a single! I think this is such a great song with tons of deep, and inspirational meaning. Listen and tell me what you think!
This is not a music video, it's just her song.
The album that this and many other awesome songs are on Who You Are. She published the album with Lava Records and Universal Republic. Lava is yet another record company she is working with.

Gone- Nelly ft. Kelly Rowland

Nelly is still here. Here is his newest release. He is still using his old style and making great music with his talent. He might have been dormant for a while, but Just A Dream brought him back into the scene and here is his follow-up song. Listen for yourself! Kelly and Nelly do such a great job in this song, and it's the "sequel" to a much older song, Dilemma. The two are a very good team and should do even more songs together!

Hollywood Tonight- Michael Jackson

Yes, Michael Jackson is dead, but his music will never die. This song is the newest of the "Ghost Michael Jackson" songs. This song helps illuminate how amazing Michael Jackson really is. His talent succeeds his own life and starts a life of its own by continuing to make new songs that help us all remember the One and Only. His reincarnation name is "King of Pop" but the King's name will always remain with Elvis Presley, The King of Rock and Roll. Michael Jackson may be called the King of Pop with his reincarnation, but his true name should and will always be the Prince of Pop. We all miss you.

Born This Way- Lady Gaga

Sorry about the delaying in a post about this new music video. I am working hard with Little Star to make a collaborative post that will go into some more detail then my normal posts. The ideas behind our new post are still in planning. So for now, all I can offer is a link to the new music video. I hope you enjoy watching this video. The video is very strange, but what else can you expect from Lady Gaga?

Saturday, March 5, 2011

I Need A Doctor- Dr. Dre ft. Eminem and Skylar Grey

Here is his newest song, I Need A Doctor. The beginning of the music video is basically just a long story. The song doesn't start until 2:45, so if you want to skip to the song skip to that! This is the explicit version, so be aware of what you about to listen to. It isn't like there is cursing every other word, but there is many parts where there are a few curse words. I think this may be one of Dr. Dre's greatest rap's since a long time. Eminem also does an incredible job in this song. This is definitely one of both of their best songs. Dr. Dre's rap starts at 6:07. His part has many curse words, but it is a great rap segment. He definitely has not had a great rap in a while, but this one completely changes that.
